Conservatory in Shipston-on-Stour

With a growing family, this client in Shipston-on-Stour was in desperate need of more space. KSW Developments were on hand to provide this much needed space through the construction of a conservatory. Time was of the essence with this project and we were able to complete everything from start to finish in just two weeks!

The home had the perfect spot for a conservatory already as they had french doors from their lounge leading to the garden. We had to clear away some of the existing patio to begin but there was relatively little in the way of prep needed before work could begin.

The floorplan of the conservatory was measured out and footings were dug and filled followed by the initial brickworks. The external and internal brickworks were taken to the height of the french door ledge before the damp proof membrane was laid ahead of screeding. Concrete was poured and set before the internal blockwork was completed. The rear wall was taken to full height whilst the remaining two walls were dwarf walls taken to lintel height. KSW Developments works with a number of local subcontractors, one of which supplied the conservatory itself, installing all of the windows, doors and the roof. This subcontractor is Fensa approved and is my go-to guy for windows, conservatories and bifold doors! I'm sure you can see why!

We fitted new heating and opened up the back of the house, allowing for more open plan living. The client was really pleased with the additional space and the way the conservatory allows for more of a link with the outside. This conservatory really transformed the property and means the family can enjoy the space all year round.
