Conservatory in Stratford-upon-Avon

Apart from seeing some wonderful projects through to completion, one of the best things about being in this industry is getting to know regular clients and helping them bring their ideas to life. This project was a real passion project for the client which we were so happy to be involved in. We had previously converted the garage of this Stratford-upon-Avon property into a bedroom with a W.C to allow the clients father to move into with comfort and most importantly a space to call his own. It was decided that a little more space would be useful and so through discussion we were asked to construct a conservatory on the property which would allow the clients father to have a space away from his bedroom to relax and enjoy the views onto the garden.

The construction began with the clearing of some garden space for the footings. These were dug and filled pretty quickly which allowed for the early stages of the build to take place ahead of schedule. The external structure was put together and featured large windows to let in lots of natural light. Internally we put down flooring and installed the electrics before finishing the area off in a neutral palette to again make use of the natural light as much as possible.

For many people there is an assumption that a conservatory will be a cold room that doesn't get used during the winter however this is not the case with modern conservatories. The structure ensures that draughts are not an issue and internal heating only has to be used minimally as the small space holds heat well and the large windows lets the sun warm the space naturally.

The client was thrilled with the final result and his father was over the moon - as were we.
