Garage Development in Great Wolford

At KSW developments we undertake a lot of garage conversions however, this project allowed us to build this sizable garage from the foundations up and the final product is truly striking!

We began by preparing the site, removing a portion of the lawn to make way for the footings. Upon completion of this, foundations were laid and masonry construction. The internal skin of blockwork went up rapidly followed by the external brickwork before scaffolding was brought in to allow for the upper level completion.

The design of this garage incorporated angled lines and a decentred, asymmetrical roof as opposed to the standard apex roof more commonly used. This was an architectural feature designed to replicate the aspect of the main property roof and require us matching the degree of pitch perfectly to follow through the gable edge. A rear window allows for daylight to enter the vast garage space and allow for use beyond storage. Access to the garage is possible through a side access door complementing the main property and allowing for easy movement between the garage space and the house. Further to this, a Hormann automatic vertical roller shutter door was installed in a contemporary onyx, offset by the external bricks painted in a warm ivory to match the main house.

We think the oversized, contemporary clock really finishes this build off!
