Kitchen & Bathroom Refurbishment in Shipston-on-Stour

Updating the kitchen and bathroom in this Shipston-on-Stour property was a project of great satisfaction for us at KSW Developments. The original kitchen and bathroom was in dire need of replacement, with an aged appearance and tatty finish, the transformation once the project was completed was dramatic.

Firstly, we totally gutted the old kitchen, tearing out the old fixtures and assessing the quality of the pipework and electrics. The cupboard doors that existed in this kitchen were very dated and had been well used over the years so the best course of action was to create a whole new kitchen with new cabinets and worktops. The layout of the kitchen was well thought out so we did not need to reconfigure the space so the primary work was installation of a new and modern kitchen. In keeping with the feel of the rest of the home we installed a beautiful country style kitchen with a modern simple twist with elegant handles throughout. We kept to a striking cream tone for all the cabinets with chrome fittings to compliment the natural tone wood effect flooring. The kitchen was finished off with solid oak worktops giving that extra bit of class.

The second part of this project was the renovation of the bathroom. This was quite a task as the existing bathroom was in a very sad state and had not been updated in a very long time. As with the kitchen, the first step was to rip out everything and assess the workings. A simple white suite was installed to create a relaxing bathroom environment and making the best use of the space. The angular squared off bath is a real focal point of the room and gives a luxurious and modern feel. In keeping with the modern feel we used travertine tile on the floor and the walls which looked really striking.

Overall we were really pleased with the final look of the refurbished room, and so was the client! After completing the two rooms we were asked to return and refurbish the entire house!
