At KSW Developments Warwickshire, our philosophy is pivotal to our success. It is a simple trident philosophy; on time, on budget, on specification. This project, completed in January 2019, delivered all three.
Our client in Stratford-upon-Avon, wanted a more expansive and functional kitchen with a separate utility room, W.C and independent shower facility. To achieve this, our team expertly converted the garage space into four practical segments, the fourth being the extension to the kitchen.
Six steels were required in total, concealed by the ceiling in order to achieve an organic feeling of space, thus hiding the intricate complexities of the project. The beautiful, uncompromising lines exhibit the wow-factor and gave our client the perfect space to entertain as well as cook and relax.
Full plumbing and rewiring was required and we installed a top of the range boiler/ central heating system to keep the space cozy in the cooler months. We also installed designer vertical radiators which are not only stylish but also space saving!
The tired old kitchen was entirely gutted and a brand new kitchen was installed by our skilled and professional team. The space was designed to perfection with the inclusion of a kitchen island, ideal for the everyday use of the space as well as being a great place to gather around with friends, a glass of wine and some great food.
Modern spotlights were utilised throughout the space to compliment the velux windows and ensure a brightly lit, airy room all year round. The client also chose so very cool pendant lights to add even more pizazz to the kitchen island. The glossy cabinetry and modern colour scheme are a real statement!
The design was continued through the WC, Shower room and Utility spaces which all feature ashy wood tones and warm grey colour schemes. WC and shower makes brilliant use of smaller spaces with fixtures and fittings specifically chosen to maximise the available room and make them feel spacious. The utility space is really luxurious, ideal for making those everyday chores feel that little bit more enjoyable! Plus, the design of this space is ideal for ensuring a separation of utility based activities from the socialising and entertaining space - no longer do these clients have to worry about the washing machine interfering with a good cuppa and natter in the kitchen area!
The removal of the rear part of the kitchen gave un-obstructed views into the garden and an open and airy feel, creating a new sleek space which allows for al-fresco entertainment on a different level! We love how this aspect of the design and the clever use of space promotes indoor/outdoor living!
