Kitchens are the beating heart of the home, but for this client the existing kitchen was not fit for purpose and was in need of a dining area as well as a full facelift!
We began the project by creating a single storey extension on the rear of the property in line with the original kitchens window. The property had a really charming and unsual brick which we matched for the extension so that a seamless transition between the older and newer parts of the house could be achieved. To make sure the space felt connected with the whole property we installed french doors and velux roof lights to get natural light flowing through and to connect the dining room with the garden - a lovely touch in the warmer months.
We deconstructed the wall between the new extension and the existing kitchen to pull the two areas together. At this point it was time to take out the dated kitchen and replace it with a beautiful new shaker style kitchen with a striking Belfast sink and solid oak worktops. The galley style kitchen felt much bigger with the warm cream tones and natural wood throughout.
The dining room continued the feel of the kitchen with a wooden dining table and statement leather chairs...perfect for family meals and entertaining! The new dining room is now a modern dining area with a dramatic vaulted ceiling giving the clients a space that they can use for guests - and to just really enjoy their home.
This whole build was an absolute pleasure and the clients were very pleased with the final look.
