What do you do when your bathroom is looking tired and dated? Contact KSW Developments of course! That's exactly what the owners of this Shipston-on-Stour bathroom did.
The bathroom was in dire need of updated and refreshing, we began by tearing out the old bathroom, including the tiling and *gasp* the carpeted floor. The original bathroom was a fairly decent size but the layout meant that the room didn't quite work and the shower unit was quite small.
We reconfigured the room and moved all the plumbing to allow for the new bath to be installed under the window, moving the location of the toilet which meant that a larger shower could be installed and the room would feel bigger. We built a separating wall to enclose the new shower cubicle in, which allows for a cosy feel whilst also handily removing a portion of the glass which would need to be cleaned! win-win.
To create a modern feel, a contemporary suite was chosen with distinctive squared off features. This also meant that more space was gained as the squared off suite was a standard size but the shape lends itself to less wasted floor space. The squared features were replicated in the fixtures of the bath sink and the shower head which is impressively sized and comes armed with a secondary head.
The tiling in this bathroom is truly showshopping, the same tile was used on the floor and the walls with a deeper tone on the floor and a lighter stone effect on the walls. The large tiles scream luxury. Speaking of which, LED lighting was installed in the side of the bath to really add a touch of class and to give the impression of being in a high end hotel or spa. We are a bit envious actually! The generously proportioned shower is a real statement and on the whole this bathroom transformation was an absolute triumph. The whole room has a designer feel without breaking the bank.
Now our lovely clients have a wonderful space to relax and unwind after a long day, whether soaking in the roomy tub or enjoying the powerful and spacious shower.
