This project was a true collaboration between Architect, Contractor and client. Work began during the winter months with the initial stages of the project requiring the property to be completely gutted whilst the clients were still living in the house. A single storey brick extension was constructed with two large 3.5m sections of glass installed. Linking on to this was a single storey media/cinema room which was finished in a white Stow render lending to a contemporary look and stylish yet fun addition to the home. Inside we took out 3 load bearing walls creating a vast kitchen/dining area, perfect for entertaining.
The Kitchen is a real focal point of the home and looks amazing finished in Matt grey and white with multi-level surfaces creating a breakfast bar separate from the main areas complemented by modern down lighting. Retaining the charm of the property we utilised existing brickwork to create a feature wall of exposed brick which is enhanced with LED lighting illuminating the area. The media room is fully soundproof and kitted out with a projector system and screen which descends electrically at the push of a button. This space truly has a cinema feel! In the front of the house we repositioned the stairs to allow for full use of the space and positive flow through the home. We redesigned the family bathroom to create a luxurious sanctuary to relax in after a long day. Slate grey tiling and angular lines give the sensation of being in a top end spa whilst remaining in the comfort of your own home!
Outside we re-landscaped the whole property with a new grey tegular block paved drive complete with new boundary wall. In keeping with this styling, we added a tiled patio from the lawn towards the sliding glass doors leading onto the kitchen/dining room, allowing for an inside/outside feel.

Overall the pictures don’t do this job justice. The clients were over the moon and they were great to work with, kindly supplying coffee and cake to keep us all going during the hard winter! thank you it was really appreciated.
