Single Storey Extension & Refurbishment in Stratford-upon-Avon

This impressive single storey extension of a property in Trinity Mead, Stratford-upon-Avon, created a dynamic entertaining-space adding value and enhancing the living experience of this home. The initial stages of the project required the removal of the tired conservatory which allowed for the creation of a link-way to the main property, making use of the additional space the clients had been enjoying.

In keeping with the airy, open-plan feel that the clients desired, we incorporated a vaulted ceiling to the entire extended space which lent itself to velux windows spaced throughout the length of the building. These windows alongside modern spotlights create a beautiful ambiance year round, drawing in natural light which is supported by the addition of these fixtures.

The architectural feel of this space is emphasised by the dove-grey interior which is extended through the vaulted ceilings, drawing attention to the height and elegance of this build. The external brickwork of the extension was constructed in elegant red brick to marry the new sections to the main building. The interior was finished in a contemporary limestone tile which further adds to the light and natural open-plan living area.

With the height and open-plan nature of this extension, we were faced with the challenge which is prominent in many projects of this nature - namely how to heat the space and maintain the high end aesthetic of the interior design. For this project we installed vertical, designer radiators which are not only stylish but effective in heat management.

The clean lines and modern minimalism of this extension are striking and provide a beautiful and practical addition to the home which our clients can enjoy for years to come.
