After the success of the kitchen/single storey extension that we completed for this client, we were thrilled to be asked back to take on the landscaping of their outdoor space!
The removal of the rear part of the kitchen gave un-obstructed views into the garden so it was the logical next step to elevate the outdoor space to the same level of luxury which was achieved in the home.
The brief was to create an outdoor space with distinct zones for the whole family to enjoy. We were really excited about this project because not only were we undertaking the work to transform the garden, but we also designed the landscaping and remodelling of the space in-house!
One of the first steps was to bring in the big boys toys and excavate the ground to create the levels for this split level garden design. Midway through the project we had to down tools due incredible downpours of rain which made progression impossible.
Luckily, it was only a short break in the schedule and we were soon back to it! Wanting to keep the summer house and pagoda in their former spots, we spruced them up and created the second level below these focal points, each section was separated by treated sleepers to create a modern but natural feel.
The second tier of the garden was given a new lease of life with a brand new, lush green lawn. Perfect for relaxing in the sun or working on your football skills! To the right of the lawn we boxed in the flowerbeds and tree to add another dimension to the space.
The lower level which leads into the house, is a beautifully paved patio space. This indian stone patio really connects the indoor living space with the outdoor and will provide a stunning spot in the warmer weather for enjoying a drink or a meal in the evening sun!
LGW Electrics installed some incredible lighting in the sleepers which creates a really fun ambiance in the evening and adds to the wow factor of the whole garden!
Overall, the finished garden really met the brief and transformed the space from a neglected and underused part of the home, to a gorgeous outdoor area which can be enjoyed year round!
