Two Storey Extension and Kitchen Redesign Stratford Upon Avon

This home in Stratford-Upon-Avon was in need of the KSW treatment. The plan - A two storey extension with a brand new kitchen, utility and master bedroom with en-suite plus an additional room yet to be determined by the clients. The additional space will either be a study or a further bedroom.

The initial stages of this project went smoothly, the area was cleared and the groundworks completed well within our desired timescales. The external build was completed in October allowing for progression to weatherproofing the build and beginning work on the interior.

The back elevation was removed in the existing upstairs bedroom and a steel was installed below the wall plate to create a large open space. Downstairs we decommissioned the existing kitchen and removed the rear elevation and the side dividing wall to create a substantial, open-plan space.

The next phase included updating all the electrics and plumbing, installing two more steels before adding stud walls to create the separate utility.

Our plumbing team fitted a brand new 250 litre unvented tank to replace the head tanks which significantly increases the mains pressure and is efficient, allowing for a balance to the whole house and its bathrooms.

Our carpenter set to work to create a custom designer kitchen and utility. The units are an ultra modern matte gray punctuated with a very cool, ultra thin Corian worktop. To create the stylish curves different jigs were created for each individual curve to ensure absolute perfection.

We added some gorgeous oak glazed double doors which really set off the area and our tiler laid stunning tiles throughout. The kitchen features a complimenting warm grey tile to go with the designer kitchen and they nod to the stylish industrialism trend whilst remaining homely and warming - they certainly bring the space together and creates a statement flooring.

The en-suite features a spacious walk in shower unit, tiled with large tiles which add to the feeling of bright airy spaciousness. Chrome fixtures and fittings add to the modern and stylish look.

Throughout the project, the highest level of finish was required and KSW delivered. Our client was thrilled with the end result and has added value to their home whilst also increasing its living space and the way the home can be enjoyed for years to come.
